I remember that you also need to embed Metadata into FLV video file. (You can download the tool at http://www.inlet-media.de/flvtool2/)

I was successful setting up properly, but I basically gave up using it in my production site because,

The response was horribly slow compare to the actual streaming server. (Maybe my shared hosting account was slow?) The time lag is caused by the php script searching for the particular position in a file. And I had to embed Metadata into FLV video file before uploading onto the hosting account.

I found that the traditional way (non-streaming) is much better. Since it prevents user to move forward without downloading the full video, the user does not experience the possible time lag.
hanadaddy on "Streaming Video solution using Xmoov.php with flowplayer" http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/streaming-video-solution-using-xmoovphp-with-flowplayer#post-399 Wed, 26 Oct 2011 20:14:04 +0000 hanadaddy 399@http://wpmarketing.org/forum/
Sorry, I find that the above resource page is not working any more.

You can search Google for 'xmoov' and check out the information about implementing Streaming Video using PHP script instead of the Stream Server.
hanadaddy on "FLV player options" http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/flv-player-options#post-398 Wed, 26 Oct 2011 20:10:18 +0000 hanadaddy 398@http://wpmarketing.org/forum/
Hello

Thank you for your interest in my plugin. Now, the answer is NO. My plugin includes three free open source flash video player, but they all do not support streaming feature - moving anywhere to a certain position even before downloading the complete movie data.

Please check below post for more information.
http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/streaming-video-solution-using-xmoovphp-with-flowplayer

Thank you.
dhachler on "FLV player options" http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/flv-player-options#post-393 Wed, 19 Oct 2011 07:59:35 +0000 dhachler 393@http://wpmarketing.org/forum/
I am very new to WordPress and video players. I have already embedded a 52 minute video (FLV FORMAT) on one of our pages using the auto-embed feature in WordPress. It works fine EXCEPT, the video controller does not allow the user to drag the video ahead to a certain position. (This is a 52 minute training video. The user needs to be able to move the video forward and back). I have been searching invain for any code that will allow this feature.

Before downloading and using this plugin, I want to make sure it will provide the user control I need. Please advise.
lanceloare on "Streaming Video solution using Xmoov.php with flowplayer" http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/streaming-video-solution-using-xmoovphp-with-flowplayer#post-224 Tue, 19 Oct 2010 06:56:15 +0000 lanceloare 224@http://wpmarketing.org/forum/
Good research and gathering of the info.

___________________
http://www.flvplayerdownload.org/
hanadaddy on "Streaming Video solution using Xmoov.php with flowplayer" http://wpmarketing.org/forum/topic/streaming-video-solution-using-xmoovphp-with-flowplayer#post-183 Tue, 10 Aug 2010 22:09:37 +0000 hanadaddy 183@http://wpmarketing.org/forum/
I just found an interesting article about implementing streaming video without special streaming server. Just to let you know that, with streaming video , you can watch the end of the video without downloading the complete video file. You can basically move around to any position of the time line.

You just need to use the latest Flowplayer , xmoov.php file , and video file.

Check out this instruction and Demo .

I will try this later myself when I have more time. But this looks really good and smooth!
